The Embassy of France in Canada’s Prix du livre enrichi francophone pour la jeunesse [Enhanced Francophone Book Award for Young Authors], organized in collaboration with the Salon du livre de l’Outaouais, aims to promote French expertise and digital innovation in the world of publishing. Enhanced books, augmented books… though the names and the technology might differ, the results are the same: a new way of looking at publishing that aims to redefine the practices and usages of the industry. These innovations—a key factor in the evolution that publishing business models will see over the coming years—herald a revolution in the publishing world.

New partnership signed between the CTF and Saint-Pierre & Miquelon’s FrancoForum

On Monday, February 6th, 2017, Saint-Pierre & Miquelon’s FrancoForum and the Canadian Teachers’ Foundation (CTF) signed a letter of intent meant to support Canadian teachers in Francophone minority settings through an intensive summer training program in Saint-Pierre and Miquelon.

Writing Contest: “Launch your Stories into Space”

In parallel with the Proxima space mission, the first writing contest ever launched from space is being organized. This contest is open to all writers under the age of 25. This writing contest, which is titled « Faites voyager vos histoires dans l’espace » [“Launch your Stories into Space”], is the result of a partnership between Labo des histoires, the Antoine de Saint Exupéry Youth Foundation, the European Space Agency, Cité de l’espace, and Institut Français. This project is under the High Patronage of the Right Honourable Michaëlle Jean, Secretary-General of La Francophonie.

On Monday, October 17th, 2016, during the visit to Canada of the rector of the académie of Aix-Marseille, Mr. Bernard Beignier, the academic region of Provence Alpes-Côte d’Azur, which includes the académies of Aix-Marseille and Nice, signed two partnership agreements with two school boards in the National Capital Region: the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board and the Conseil des écoles publiques de l’Est de l’Ontario.
