New partnership signed between the CTF and Saint-Pierre & Miquelon’s FrancoForum
On Monday, February 6th, 2017, Saint-Pierre & Miquelon’s FrancoForum and the Canadian Teachers’ Foundation (CTF) signed a letter of intent meant to support Canadian teachers in Francophone minority settings through an intensive summer training program in Saint-Pierre and Miquelon.
This program is based on education-oriented training, greater exposure to culture, and homestay programs with host families.
This program is based on the Pédagogie à l’école de langue française (PELF) program that the CTF developed in order to adapt teaching methods to linguistic minority situations. PELF has received financial support from provincial and territorial ministries of education since its earliest days.
This project is also a response to a growing demand for better French classes and better French-language education in Canadian schools. It is a real asset for the Francophonie in Canada, creating more and more bonds between our two countries.
