On June 21st, 2017, as part of the agreement between the French and Albertan ministries of education that was renewed in May 2016, the Académie d’Orléans-Tours and the Red Deer Public School District signed a partnership agreement promoting cooperation between their respective schools.

This partnership aims to promote twinning programs and partnerships between schools based on shared academic, linguistic, and cultural projects in order to promote intercultural dialogue and to create better learning experiences for students.

This agreement will also facilitate discussions between teaching staff in order to share information, teaching resources, expertise, teaching practices, and experiments involving second or foreign language-learning, evaluation, the development of intercultural skills, and the management of classroom diversity.
